- The number and sophistication of recent research articles demonstrating that GSH is taken up intact from the small intestine outweigh those denying that such uptake occurs. Some researchers have asserted that oral GSH must be accompanied by oral ascorbic acid in order to assist in that uptake, and this should be investigated.
