- Telling Your Coach
- This one is the easiest. It's like telling your teacher. When you join an athletic team you have to fill out a health card. Right away they ask for diseases or conditions. I've never told any of my coaches, they've asked me. They've always came and asked "you have a lung disease and you're running?" They are always really cool about it.

- Telling Your Teachers
- For those who get sick often and require hospitalizations, telling your teachers is a key to keep up with you studies. People have different approaches in telling their teachers. Some people have the CF center social worker or nurse call the school and talk to the teachers. Some may have their doctors call the school. But most talk to their teachers one-on-one. Telling your teacher can be rough, but remember that having CF is nothing to be ashamed about and they aren't going to "lower your grade" because you have a disease.
